About

The Challenge

Alison enjoys cooking and needs to monitor the level of liquid in a pot as it’s simmering. Alison has vision loss and currently uses a wooden spoon to dip into the liquid and feel where the level is to measure any change and to ensure the pot doesn’t boil dry. Alison would like to be able to accurately measure the liquid level in a pot and obtain feedback of the percentage level change.

The Concept

The Level-O-Matic is an accurate liquid level measure that can be placed onto the side of a pot. The device provides audio feedback via simple tactile controls to tell the user the current level and the percentage change in liquid level.
