About
The Challenge
Alexandra is a mother with joint hypermobility. Alexandra enjoys looking after her child during bath time, however kneeling for extended periods on the tiles causes her pain in her legs and back. Alexandra would like to develop a device to support her joints while kneeling on the ground.
The Concept
Alexandra and the team have developed a stool made of a high-density foam to support the lower body and provide a comfortable surface to kneel on. The lower cushion is separate from the rest of the stool and can be adjusted for comfort. The design is sleek with a protective finish on both the fabric and wooden parts.
