The Challenge

Access Inc. runs programs which help young adults with disabilities to build skills, confidence, and foster a sense of belonging in the community.

A participant in their cooking classes would like to design something to stabilise a mixing bowl while stirring.

The Concept

RMIT design student Nathan Phillips developed a simple, fun egg-shaped silicon mat which works by suctioning to both the kitchen bench and mixing bowl.

This project is a continuation of the previous magnetic design which was developed in the 2022 Metro Makeathon.
